JandA was at the epicenter of the pandemic from March to the end of June supporting a major New York city hospital system with training fit-testers and managing about 10,000 respirator fit-tests for the hospital staff. JandA's role was to ensure that the fit-tests were conducted in accordance with the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) regulations and to complete the recordkeeping forms for each fit test (see Client testimonial).

Assessing potential exposure routes - this is the first step in addressing any COVID-19 concerns. JandA will work with the employer to identify likely locations for potential disease transmission.
Developing an Infectious Disease Preparedness and Response Plan - OSHA has "suggested" that this be done. The basic plan includes:
Exposure assessment findings.
Basic infection prevention measures.
Procedures for prompt identification and isolation of sick people
Workplace protections and controls, including cleaning and disinfection.
Personal protective equipment.
Conducting employee training - to ensure employees and management understand their roles/responsibilities and the procedures to protect themselves; this includes personal protective equipment and hygiene.
Testing - to verify the effectiveness of disinfection procedures.
